Funeral services for Vern I. Baker, 89, of Muskogee, OK, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, April 18, 2014 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Cindy Culver and Dale Fulton officiating.
Burial will be at 3:00 P.M. at the Green Meadows Cemetery in Atoka, OK.
Vern was born April 24, 1924 at Gotebo, OK, the son of Loyd and Flora (Hill) Baker and died Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at his home in Muskogee. In 1991 he married Lucy Hamilton in Muskogee. Prior to retirement, Vern worked as a self-employed electrician and had formerly owned a Western Auto Store in Atoka and a radio and tv shop. He was a member of the Two Lakes Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.
Survivors include his wife, Lucy, of the home; two children, Vern Lee Baker and wife, Maxine, of Broken Arrow, Carla Dandridge and husband, Robert, of Atoka; two grandchildren, Amanda Rease and husband, Ron, of Reston VA, Lincoln Hacker and wife, Shanna of Pataskala, OH; one great-grandson, Dakota Hacker of Ellsworth A.F.B. of South Dakota; sister, Sylvia Angove of Grass Valley, CA; step-children, Bill Lewis and Connie of Oktaha, Bob Lewis and Nora of Wister, OK, Mary Kimbrell of Muskogee, Evelyn Lewis of Muskogee, David Lewis and Marian of Muskogee; numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.
Family will
receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Lescher-Millsap
Funeral Home in Muskogee.

Lucy Pearl Baker, 95, of Muskogee, OK passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022 in Muskogee.
She was born in Daisy, OK on March 15, 1927 the daughter of Ona
Hamilton and Millie Hamilton (Hefner).
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, September 23, 2022 at Lescher-Millsap
Funeral Home located at 2801 Chandler Road in Muskogee, OK with Anthony Roe
officiating.
Interment will follow at Green Meadows Cemetery in Atoka, OK. Services in care of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home.
