He was born on Tuesday, August 05, 1952, to Fred W. and Barbara Jane (York) Armstrong, at Coalgate, OK. Fred passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Atoka, OK. He graduated high school from Atoka and then attended OU and then attended ECU where he received a Master’s Degree. Fred was a psychologist and worked for the federal government in Indian Health Services.He married Tabitha Fern (McKay) on November 19, 1986 at Atoka, Ok. Fred enjoyed playing the guitar and writing music.Survived by his wife Tabitha Fern Armstrong of the home in Atoka, OK. Sons: Fred Danny Armstrong Jr. and wife Shyanna of Lincoln City, Or., Dylan Armstrong of Atoka, Ok. Adopted daughter: Angela Armstrong of Sherman, Tx. Sister: Janaleen Capo and husband Ken of Mebane, NC. Grandson: Dillon Andrew Armstrong of Lincoln City, Or. Niece: Heather Watkins of Mebane, NC. Nephew: Heathcliff Beach of Mebane, NC. Mother: Barbara Armstrong of Mebane, NC. Brother-in-Law: Ike McKay and wife Georgenna of Caddo, Ok. Uncle:Utah Nation and wife Wanda of Caddo, Ok. Along with other relatives and many dear friends.
Preceded in death: Father: Fred W. ArmstrongServices will be at 10:00 AM Monday, July 16th, 2012 at the Brown’s Funeral Chapel, Atoka, Oklahoma. Officiating will be J.D. Moulden. Interment will at Green Meadows Cemetery.
