BORN:  SEPTEMBER 17, 1924 AT HOMINEY, OKLAHOMA TO JOHN V.  AND SARAH E. (TYLER) GAINES.
 
PASSED AWAY: THURSDAY, JUNE 8, 1995 AT HER FARRIS RESIDENCE.
AGE:   70 YEARS  8  MONTHS  AND  22 DAYS.
 
MARRIED:   J. D. WOOD ON SEPTEMBER 27, 1941 AT SAND SPRINGS, OK.
 
OCCUPATION:  MAXINE WAS A HOMEMAKER AND HOUSEWIFE AS WELL AS RETIRED COSMETOLOGY INSTRUCTOR SUPERVISOR.
 
CHURCH AFFILIATION:  SHE WAS A MEMBER OF FARRIS BAPTIST CHURCH.
 
MAXINE WAS A MEMBER OF THE ORDER OF EASTERN STAR, ORDER OF AMARANTH, AND ORDER OF WHITE SHRINE OF JERUSALEM. SHE WAS PAST MATRON OF ORDER OF EASTERN STAR IN 1974, 1975, AND 1978.  SHE WAS PAST ROYAL MATRON OF THE ORDER OF AMARANTH IN 1974, 1975, AND 1978. SHE WAS PAST GRAND ROYAL MATRON OF THE ORDER OF AMARANTH OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA IN 1980.

HUSBAND:   J. D. wood OF THE HOME IN FARRIS, OK.
 
SON:   JERRY DON WOOD AND WIFE BARBARA OF TEHACHAPI, CA.
 
DAUGHTER:  FRANCES DAVIDSON AND HUSBAND CLINT OF FARRIS, OK.
 
GRANDCHILDREN:   JERRY DON WOOD II AND CRYSTAL WOOD OF TEHACHAPI, CA.
                                       CHERYL (DAVIDSON) BLEDSOE AND HUSBAND BRYAN OF LANE, OK.
 
GREAT GRANDCHILDREN:   MELISSA ANN, SCOTT WAYNE. AND JOHN DAVID BLEDSOE.
 
BROTHERS:    ALLEN GAINES OF SAND SPRINGS, OK.
                           DENVER GAINES OF SAND SPRINGS, OK.
