Donald Lee Owens, age 84, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident. He was born on Sunday, October 13, 1940, to Berry Bud and Chrystal Neomha (Cross) Owens, at Bentley, OK. Donald passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Atoka, OK. He attended Pine Springs Grade School and graduated from Atoka High School with the class of 1959. Donald was a surveyor for the Oklahoma State Highway Department. He married Loretta (Claxton) Owens, they celebrated many years together before her passing on August 27, 2015. Donald attended Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting.
Donald is survived by his children, Lisha Henson of Atoka, OK, Kim Baughman and husband Robert of Lane, OK, Brandie Owens of Atoka, OK, John Claxton of Atoka, OK; grandchildren, Toria Sartin and husband Wesley of Atoka, OK, Dakota Baughman and wife Morgan of Atoka, OK, Kassi Hunt and husband Eric of Atoka, Ok, Laci Moreland and Jamie Holstine of Atoka, OK; great grandchildren, Cloey and husband Jarred, Paidin, Hadlynn, Madisyn, Jaggyr, Maxlyn, Collin, Maverick, Mazie, Beckett, Pakus, Rocker; great great grandchild, Walker Lee Ables; brother, Lloyd Owens and wife Kathy of Antlers; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Berry Bud and Chrystal Neomha (Cross) Owens; wife, Loretta Owens; brothers, James "Cub" Owens, BB "Junior" Owens.
