Sam Hearrell, age 81, a longtime Lane, OK resident, was born on Tuesday, September 28, 1937, to Alfred Samuel and Jettie Leona (Grogan) Hearrell, at Olney, OK. Sam passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at his home in Lane, OK with his loved ones around him.

He attended Butler Elementary School and Atoka High School. Sam worked many years as a Heavy Equipment Operator and drove a school bus for Lane School for many years.  Sam proudly served his country in The Oklahoma Army National Guard.
He married Linda Ruth (Long) on Thursday, October 9th, 1958 at Butler, OK. They have celebrated 60 wonderful years together. Sam was a member of Lane Baptist Church. He served on Lane School Board, served 60 years on the board for Butler Cemetery, and was a Lane Volunteer fireman for many years.

Sam is survived by his wife, Linda Ruth Hearrell of the home in Lane, OK; children,  Debbie Brasfield and husband Troy of Lane, OK, Larry Hearrell and wife Julie of Thomas, OK; grandchildren, Ricky Willis of Lane, OK, RD Willis and wife Ashley of Lane, OK, Newt Brasfield and wife Brooke of Lane, OK, Samantha Hearrell of Lane, OK, Nolan Dodd of Stringtown, OK, Carla Willis of Atoka, OK; great grandchildren, Dax, Gracie and Kindle Willis of Lane, OK, Bailey and Brayden Willis of Jonesboro, AR, Tucker and Harlee Willis of Lane, OK, Briar and Blair Brasfield of Lane, OK, Kamry Westmoreland of Lane, OK, Jase Stiles of Lane, OK, Ryder Westmoreland of Lane, OK; sisters, Vada Glenn of Minco, OK, Alpha Cherry of Moore, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

Sam is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Jettie Leona (Grogan) Hearrell; grandson, Rusty Willis; great granddaughter, Lexi Lee Willis; brothers, James Hearrell, Robert "Bobby" Hearrell, sisters, Vera Rector, Wilma Golden, Sue Hamilton; father in law and mother in law, Jack and Ellen Long.
