Helena, OK. -- The funeral for Lillie Rachel Thorp, 88, will be 2 p.m. Friday in Helena United Methodist Church. The Rev. Brantley Tillery will officiate. Burial will be in Timberlake Cemetery, northeast of Helena. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc., Helena, OK.
She was born Jan. 18, 1915 in Helena, OK. to O.Granville and Senah Montgomery Williams and died Tues. Dec. 16, 2003.
She graduated from high school and married Bert E. Thorp. She was employed by Helena Public Schools for many years as head cook.
Surviving are four sons, Virgil of Helena, OK., Otho Jr. and Cecil, both of Enid, OK., and Hollis of Fairview, OK.; two sisters, Virginia Cardenas and Isabell Horne; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, two brothers and three sisters.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Helena United Methodist Church or any other Helena church of choice.
