Ella Thomas
Ella Thomas, 79, former Helena resident, died Tuesday (Jan. 31, 1984) in a Cassville, MO. nursing center. Her funeral was Friday (Feb. 3, 1984) in the First Christian Church at Helena, OK. with the Rev. Litton Logan officiating. Burial was in the Timberlake Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Kenny Lanman Funeral Home of Helena.
Mrs. Thomas was born October 20, 1904, at Helena, OK. She taught school in Oklahoma but most of her teaching career was in Kansas, where she retired at Clifton in 1968.
She moved to Fairview, MO. in 1982 to live with her daughter until ill health forced her to enter a nursing center there.
Mrs. Thomas was a member of the First Christian Church at Helena, the Rebekah Lodge and Order of Eastern Star, Goltry chapter.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Tom (Elaine) Hannah of Fairview, MO.; and a sister, Mrs. Mary Brooks of Wichita, KS. She was preceded in death by a brother and a half-brother.
