SHAKLEE, Jade Glen, 33, formerly of Lahoma, OK, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at his residence in Philadelphia, PA.
He was born November 4, 1976 in Enid, OK, the son of David & Terry (nee Sheppard) Shaklee. Jade was a 1996 graduate of Cimarron High School. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN in 2000, where he majored in East Asian Studies and had the opportunity to study abroad in mainland China. He received his Master's Degree in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC in 2002.
After graduation, he worked as an accountant in Nashville, TN for Ernst & Young and also Price CPAs. He became a financial recruiter in 2005 and re-located to Philadelphia, PA in 2006. At the time of his death, he was employed by the financial staffing firm of QUAD 656 in Philadelphia.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Gray Shaklee, in 1995. He is survived by his wife, Dr. Julia Shaklee, of Philadelphia, PA; his parents, David & Terry Shaklee, of Lahoma, OK; and by one sister, Ky Shaklee, of Boulder, CO.
Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Make Promises Happen c/o Central Christian Camp & Conference Center, One Twin Cedar Lane, Guthrie, OK 73044. Funeral Services were held at Bringhurst Funeral Home at West Laurel Hill Cemetery in Bala Cynwyd, PA on Saturday, May 22nd at 1:00pm. The graveside service will be in the Timberlake Cemetery in Jet, OK on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 11:00am officiated by Rev. Travis Van Hauen. Viewing will be available at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 25th. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
