Minta Mae Munro
A graveside service for Minta Mae Munro, 90, of Topeka, KS., formerly of Jet, OK., will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2005, in Timberlake Cemetery southwest of Jet. Virgil Crook will officiate. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home Inc., Helena, OK. Visitation will be 2 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
She was born Oct. 27, 1914, in Paonia, CO, to Frank and Mabel Hall Miller and died Wednesday June 1, 2005 in Topeka.
In 1915, she moved with her parents by covered wagon from CO. to OK. She grew up in Vining, OK., near Jet. She attended Oklahoma A&M College and married Alexander Munro.
She was a missionary in Egypt for 11 years and Paraguay for 36 years, retiring to Topeka in September 1989.
Surviving are one brother, Harold Miller of Jet, OK.; two sisters, Edith Kealiher of Helena, OK. and Ella Blanche Stark of Midland, Mich.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander, two brothers and one half-sister.
Memorials may be made to a foreign missionary of donor's choice.
