St. Michael's Cemetery


A Mass of Christian burial for R.J. Severin, 71, of Goltry, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Goltry. The Rev. Larry Kowalski will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery. A Wake service will be 7 p.m. today at Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel.

He was born Aug. 21, 1936, southeast of Goltry to Julius and Rose Simunek Severin and died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007.

He attended Goltry schools. He entered the Army in 1957 and was discharged in 1963. He married Katherine Williams May 14, 1960, in Enid. He was a member of St. Michael’s. He served on the board of directors for Goltry Farmer’s Cooperative Exchange. He owned an Oklahoma Centennial Farm in the Goltry area.

Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Katherine Severin; one daughter, Charolette Buller of Ringwood; one son, Ronnie Severin of Goltry; one brother, Cecil Severin of Goltry; one sister, Julie Trojan of Perry; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the cancer fund or to St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
