St. Michael's Cemetery


Mass of Christian burial for Robert J. Sedbrook, 82-year-old Goltry, Okla., resident will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, in St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Goltry. The Rev. Joseph Irwin will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery. A recitation of the Rosary will be 7 p.m. today, Sept. 8, at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon Tony Crispo will lead.

Bob was born Sept. 9, 1932, in Goltry, Okla., to Matt and Florence (Krier) Sedbrook and died Friday, Sept. 5, 2015, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

He attended school in Goltry, graduating with the class of 1951.

He served in the Korean Conflict with the United States Army. After his service, he retuned to Goltry where he was a custom harvester.

On May 1, 1957, he married Bessie Madison at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Goltry, where the couple made their home. He was a firefighter at Vance Air Force Base for 18 years. He continued to farm at Goltry until his death.

He was a lifetime member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. He and Bessie enjoyed traveling to Branson, Mo., and other places and taking cruises.

He is survived by his son, Matt Sedbrook and wife Robin of Enid; one granddaughter, Erin Ritchie and husband Ryan of Justin, Texas; one grandson, Chad Sedbrook of Oklahoma City; also one great-grandchild, Ryder Lee Ritchie who will be born later this month. He is also survived by his sister, Ann Sedbrook of Enid and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Bessie, in 2012.

Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson to either the Goltry Fire
