ROSE A. BENDA
Mass of Christian Burial for Rose A. Benda, 92, of Goltry, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Goltry. The Rev. Larry Ko-walski will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery. A rosary service will be 7 p.m. Friday at Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel.
She was born Oct. 27, 1913, in Bison to Joseph and Anna Houska Simunek and died Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at Great Plains Care Center, Helena.
She married Julius Severin April 14, 1931. They made their home in Goltry until he died Nov. 11, 1967. She later married Joe Benda in 1986. He died April 1, 1998.
She was a member of Oklahoma Polka Club.
Surviving are two sons, R.J. and Cecil Severin, both of Goltry; one daughter, Julie Trojan of Perry; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husbands, one son, three sisters, four brothers and one granddaughter.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice Circle of Love or St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
