Susannah Hollingsworth daughter of Jesse and Susannah Dillon was born in Madison county, Indiana, August 17, 1844, and died at Haviland, Kansas, March 28, 1917, aged 72 years 7 months and 11 days. She was a life long member of the Friends church.
She was married to Andrew Hollingsworth, August, 1865, and to this union were born seven children, two sons and five daughters, 5 of whom survive her. She lived a quiet christian life and made a peaceful happy close.
The funeral service was conducted by Alvin Coppock at Stella and at her request was laid beside her husband in the Stella cemetery.

Susannah Hollingsworth, daughter of Jesse and Susannah Dillon, was born in Madison county, Indiana, August 18, 1844. She was married to Anderson Hollingsworth in 1865 in Bangor Meeting, Marshall County, Iowa, To them were born eight children, two sons and six daughters, five of whom are living.
She was a member of the Society of Friends from her birth, her conversion being early in life. She died at the home of her daughter, Ella, in Haviland, Kansas, March 28, 1917, her husband having preceded her six years ago. She leaves one only brother, Josiah Dillon, who now resides in Oklahoma.
Three weeks before passing away she gave clear evidence of having received, through the sanctifying power of the Holy ghost, the second definite work of grace, subsequent to conversion, and expressed her desire to have her testimony given as to the new found joy in the abiding presence of the blessed Holy Ghost. Some would desire to call this experience dying grace, but those who have realized its effect in their hearts and lives love to term it, living grace. During the last score of her days her theme was blessing and praising God and petitioning Him for those she remembered.

Susannah Hollingsworth, daughter of Jesse and Susannah Dillon was born in Madison Co., Indiana, eighth mo., 17, 1844; was married to Anderson Hollingsworth in the fall of 1865, in Bangor meeting, Marshall Co., Iowa. To them were born eight children, two sons and six daughters, five of whom are living.
She was member of Friends from her birth, was converted in early life and lived an exemplary Christian life. She died a the home of her daughter Ella, in Haviland, Kansas, third mo., 28, her husband having preceded her six years and two months.
She leaves nineteen grandchildren one of whom she raised from infancy, Laura E. Storm, now residing in California. She also leaves one only brother, Josiah Dillon, who now resides in Oklahoma. Her love and care for her children was evidenced to them, and her love for her Master grew stronger toward the end.
Three weeks before passing she gave clear evidence of having received a clean heart from her Lord through the sanctifying power of the Holy Ghost as the second definite work of grace, subsequent to conversion, and expressed herself that she would like to have her testimony given as to the new found joy in the absence of the carnal mind and in the abiding presence of the blessed Holy Ghost. Some would desire to call this experience just mentioned dying grace, but those who have realized its effect in their hearts and lives love to term it living grace. During the last score of her days her theme was blessing and praising God and petitioning Him for those she remembered.
