Funeral for Kurt Stauffer, 49, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, at First Assembly of God Church, Alva. Burial in Short Springs Cemetery. Arrangements by Wharton Funeral Chapel, Alva.

Kurt was born Sept. 15, 1962, in Cherokee, Okla., to Orie Beryle and Jessie Maxine (Ole) Stauffer and died Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, in an accident near Ashland, Kan.

Surviving are sons, Kyle Stauffer and Kelly Stauffer, Waukomis; two grandchildren; his mother, Maxine of Alva; sisters, Donnette Stauffer and Jeannette Graves, all of Alva; brother, Kim Stauffer of Ponca City.

Preceded by his father and one brother.
