Ray Jantz, 96-year-old Enid resident, was born January 13, 1925, in Fort Cobb, OK, to Jonathan and Lena (Koehn) Jantz. He passed away November 19, 2021, in Enid.
On November 26, 1960, Ray married Wanda Lou Brining. Together, they made their home in Meno, OK. Ray served his community in many capacities, including being a lifelong farmer, custom harvester and grave digger. Ray and Wanda moved to Golden Oaks twenty years ago where he loved to fish.
Ray enjoyed farming, fishing, welding and collecting antiques.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wanda; two sisters, Viola and Kathleen; two brothers, Harold and Roy; and a nephew, Esley Dean Koehn.
Ray is survived by many nieces and nephews, Donnis Lang, Nancy Koehn, Joyce Singleton and husband Dwight, Jann Ensz, Mike Jantz and wife Beverly; great-nieces and great-nephews, Delena Hukle and husband Grant, Spencer Koehn and wife Kristen, Annesha Dib and husband Joe, Celeste Ezell and husband Daniel, Keynan Koehn, Ryan Singleton and wife Wendy, Russell Singleton and wife Shelley, Sharla Mills and husband Terry, Kari Vetter and husband Steven, Kevin Jantz and wife Jami, Joshua Jantz and wife Delissa; as well as numerous great-great-nieces and -nephews and extended family.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2021, in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be 2:00 p.m. in Short Springs Cemetery, east of Alva, OK. Viewing is available 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given in Ray's name to OMRF - Heart or Diabetes Division - with Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home acting as custodian of the fund.
