Naomi Martin
September 2, 1934 - July 15, 2023
Naomi Ruth Martin was born to Francis and Nova Murray on September 2, 1934, on the farm in Woods County and passed away on July 15, 2023 in Attica. She attended and graduated from Burlington Public School and attended Salt Lake City Business College after graduation.
In 1953 she married Jack Martin and they had two children, Roberta and Randal Martin and was blessed with four grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. During her career she worked as a bookkeeper for several companies including Coontz Implement, John Deere and Kirby Vacuums. She also worked in the restaurant business. She was a jack of all trades and a master of all.
Naomi was an avid bowler and Oklahoma Sooners fan. She also loved to sew, work any type of puzzles and watch all types of sports.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Nova Murray.
She is survived by her sister, Viola Hale of Enid, Oklahoma; her daughter, Roberta Martin (Scott Thurow) of Kiowa, Kansas; her son, Randal (Angela) Martin of Ripley, Tennessee; grandchildren, Christopher (Linda) Martin, Heather (Steven) Reeves, Jayme (Patrick) Grott and Grace Martin all of Tennessee; great-grandchildren, Michael (Erin) Patrick, Skyler Patrick (Chasiti Beasley), Kristian Patrick (Connie Hinton), Weston Martin, AJ Grott, Lola Martin, Lilian Grott, Jagger Martin, Paisley Martin, Samuel Grott and Bodhi Martin all of Tennessee; three great-great grandchildren, Cailinn, Lucas and Liam Patrick of Tennessee.
Graveside service will be Friday, July 21, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery near Burlington. Visitation will be Thursday, July 20, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Kiowa. www.lanmanmemorials.com Facebook: Lanman Funeral Home Inc.
