LINNIE VANOSDOL
The funeral for Linnie VanOsdol, 93, formerly of Jet, will be Tuesday at Jet Church of the Nazarene. Ken Burnham will officiate. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, at Jet. Arrangements are by Goodwin Funeral Home of Cherokee. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the family present from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
She was born Aug. 14, 1912, east of Jet to Melvin and Louise Campbell Williamson and died Saturday, July 22, 2006, in Alva.
She graduated from Jet High School. She worked at Jet Bank and the drugstore. She married Jack L. VanOsdol Feb. 25, 1938. She worked as a relief operator for the telephone company and was a cook for the Jet schools. She was a member of Jet Church of the Nazarene and a former member of Methodist Church at Jet. She was a member of Eastern Star, bridge club, and the election board. She was a resident of Antlers until 2004, when she moved to Alva.
Surviving are one son, L. Jack Buddy VanOsdol of Jet; two daughters, Sandra Jane Luginbill of Antlers and L. Louise VanOsdol of Alva; four grandchildren: and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, two brothers and three sisters.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Jet Church of the Nazarene.
