Jet-Funeral service for William Lee Hopkins will be Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Lanman Funeral Home Chapel in Cherokee. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home. Viewing will be Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Lee was born on May 28, 1942, to Loren and Pauline Connolly Hopkins in Enid and passed from this life on March 19, 2019, in Enid. Lee married Jonell Howell on June 3, 1981, in Jet. He was a civilian firefighter at Vance Air Force Base with time spent at Kegelman Field. Lee was a retiree of the Jet Volunteer Fire Department and served in the Oklahoma National Guard. He loved deer hunting . He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Lee was a member of the Nash Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Loren and Pauline Hopkins.
Survivors include his wife, Jonell Hopkins, children, Wesley Hopkins and wife, Amanda, step-son, Jeff Walls, step-daughter, Connie Pinter and husband, Jerry, two grandchildren, Mattison and Sydne Hopkins, and 7 step- grandchildren, Nicholas and Alyssa Smith, Jeremy and Chandise Pinter, Breyanna, Brittney and Ashley Walls, sister, Verla Blackledge and husband, Paul.
Memorials may be given to Jet Fire Department through the funeral home.
