Faith Kay Fortune
January 20, 1937 - July 27, 2023
Faith Kay (Chadwick) Fortune was born on January 20, 1937 in Helena to William (Bill) and Fern Chadwick. She passed away on July 27, 2023 at her home in Jet. Her dad worked for the railroad while she was growing up and they moved around a lot. Some of the places they lived in Oklahoma were Teralton, Hallet, Carmen, Ames as well as Winfield, Kansas. Faith graduated from Ames High School in 1956.
Faith married Fred (Cork) Lovely in May of 1956 and they had five sons, Randy, Wayde, Ryan and twins, Rory and Cory Lovely. She later married Alvin Fortune and she received two more sons, Danny and Timmy. Faith and Alvin owned and ran the grocery store in Jet.
Faith loved to cross stitch and work on plastic canvas as well as do puzzles. She made most of the Christmas gifts for everyone.
She is survived by Randy's wife, Michelle of Owasso, Rory Lovely of Jet; granddaughter, Samantha Lovely and son, Westin of Nash; Danny Fortune of Fairview and Timmy Fortune; one sister, Donna Horn of Salt Lake City, Utah; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by four sons, Wayde, Ryan, Randy, and Cory Lovely; husband, Alvin; one granddaughter, Kaylynn Lovely; her parents, William (Bill) and Fern Chadwick; two sisters and one brother.
Graveside service will be Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at Pleasant View Cemetery near Jet. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. www.lanmanmemorials.com Facebook: Lanman Funeral Home Inc.
