KINGSTON, Okla. — Graveside service for Elmon Eugene Carson, 80, formerly of Jet, will be 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant View Cemetery near Jet.

Viewing will be 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday at Lanman Funeral Home Inc. in Cherokee. (www.lanmanmemorials.com)

Elmon was born on Aug. 20, 1935, to Wes and Florence Carson of Jet, and passed away Nov. 4, 2015, at his home in Kingston.

He graduated from Jet High School. He spent many years in Luskin, Texas, and had spent the last five years in Nescatunga.

He just recently moved to Kingston by Lake Texhoma.

He loved to fish, hunt and grow a garden. He especially enjoyed sharing his crops with his neighbors and friends. Elmon never met a stranger.

His companion was his dog, Suzie, and he loved her very much. She went everywhere with him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his sister, Virginia Potter and husband, Charles.
