Aline – The funeral for Carl L. Rich, 82, will be at 2 PM Monday in the United Methodist Church with the Reverends Connie Schlarb and Lyle Shipley officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Wentworth Mortuary of Carmen.
He was born March 15, 1915, west of aline to Henry Elmer Bay and Leota Pearl Andrews Rich and died Thursday, December 4, 1997, at Integris Baptist Health Center.
He attended Aline high school and married Anna Belle Ealey on March 10, 1936, at Alva. They made their home on a ranch outhwest of Aline, where they farmed and raised cattle and horses. He enjoyed rodeos and showing quarter horses. He retired in 1980 and moved to Aline.
He served on the town board and was the inspector on the election board of Lake Precinct for many years. He was a member of the Elm Flat Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Anna, of Great Plains Care Center in Helena; two daughters, Barbara Bowman of Aline, Maribel Dimmick of Newkirk; one son, Jim Rich of Chickasha; nine grandchildren and 11 great – grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter and four brothers.
A memorial may be made in his memory to The Elm Flat Christian Church with Wentworth's Mortuary serving as custodian of the fund.
