FRANK EVANS LAWRENCE
The funeral for Frank Evans Lawrence, 83, of Fairview, OK., will be 10:30 a.m. today at Aline Christian Church. The Rev. Casey McKenna will officiate. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery southwest of Aline, OK. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home Inc., Helena, OK.
He was born Nov. 2, 1920, on a farm west of Aline, OK. to John and Hattie May Smith Lawrence and died Friday, Oct. 29, 2004 at his home in Fairview, OK.
He married Orpha Pearl Pettus, Feb. 4, 1942. They made their home and farmed west of Aline for 44 years, spending their retirement years in Fairview. He was a member of Aline Christian Church and an honorary FFA member.
He served in the Army from September 1942 until December 1945, and was awarded the Philippine Liberation Ribbon and the Bronze Arrowhead while serving in New Guinea and the southern Philippines.
Surviving are his wife, Orpha, of the home; four sons, Bill Lawrence and Dot of Enid, OK., Terry Lawrence and Anna of Kingfisher, OK., John Lawrence and Melinda of Holdenville, OK., and Danny Lawrence and Joy of Fairview, OK.; one daughter, Linda and Danny Davidson of Enid, OK.; a sister, Betty Jean Adams of Liberal, KS.; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and grandchild Carla Lawrence.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice Circle of Love or Aline Christian Church.

Funeral Services for Orpha Pearl Lawrence, 89, of Aline will be 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015, at Aline Christian Church in Aline. The Rev. Polly Young will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery under the direction of the Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.
Orpha Pearl Lawrence was born April 17, 1926, to Fred and Lola Pearl (Ayres) Pettus in Helena, Okla.
She married Frank Evans Lawrence on Feb. 4, 1942.
Together, Frank and Orpha made their homes in the Aline, Cleo Springs and Fairview communities.
They enjoyed 62 years of marriage until Frank’s death in October of 2004.
Orpha went home to meet her Lord and Savior and reunite with her beloved husband on Nov. 19, 2015.
Orpha enjoyed cooking meals out on the farm and never turned down an opportunity to feed a hungry soul. Her home cooked meals were the best around.
She took pride in expressing her faith through regular church attendance and her trust in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Orpha was known for her quiet, humble and loving spirit. She always was willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need and she relished the time spent with family and friends.
Orpha saw the good in everyone and never spoke ill towards anyone. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, Grandma and friend.
Orpha is survived by her five children: Bill and wife Dorothy of Enid, Linda Davidson and husband Danny of Enid, Terry Lawrence and wife Anna Faye of Kingfisher, John Lawrence and wife Melinda of Salina, and Danny Lawrence and wife Joy of Fairview.
She also is survived by 13 grandchildren; Connie Lawrence and Rick Davis, Becky Lawrence, Rick and Kara Lawrence, Shondra and Ira Hoffman, Kevin Lawrence, Sheila Fuksa, Lance Davidson, Kenni Koehn, Mindy and Josh Butcher, Jamie and Jason McCullough, Erica Lawrence, James Robinson, Dorothy Odenwald, 23 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Frank, two brothers, Dale Pettus and Lawrence Pettus, granddaughter Carla Janelle Lawrence and great grandson Easton Campbell.
Memorials can be made to the Aline Christian Church with the funeral home acting as custodian of the funds.
