The funeral for Vola Wilma Kinney, 93, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Aline Methodist Church. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Arrangements are by Went-worth Mortuary.
She was born June 20, 1913, west of Aline, to Frank Leroy and Alice Mae Woods Hood and died Satur-day, Dec. 23, 2006, in Cherokee.
She attended Oakdale school. She married Roy Carlton Kinney July 16, 1931, in Alva. They farmed in Oakdale. They lived in Okarche one year, running a cafe. She was a member of Cleo Springs Christian Church.
Surviving are one son, Ed Kinney of Aline; five daughters, Jeannie McDonald of Alva, Stella Lavicky of Cherokee, Dot Baker of Cleo Springs and Frances Lavicky and Doty Percival, both of Enid; one brother, Johnny Hood of Basin, Wyo.; four sisters, Juanita Osbourn and Laverne Stuck, both of Aline, Lula Andrews of Wichita, Kan., and Dixie Hamen of Fairview; 22 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; one daughter; two brothers; two sisters; and one great-grandson.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Aline Senior Citizens Center or Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
