Lyda Elvira Gulick was born northwest of Cleo Springs to John Marion and Minnie Margaret (Deeg) Gulick on Feb. 18, 1929, and passed from this life at Alva on Dec. 23, 2016, at the age of 87 years, 9 months and 23 days.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Roscoe, Raymond and Paul; her sister, Alice and step-sister, Pauline (Phillips) Watkins; one niece, Carol (Stuck) Lewis; three nephews, Bill and John Dean Gulick and George Stewart; other great nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lyda is survived by a half-brother, Stephen Gulick and his two sons of Wichita, Kan.; three nieces, Pat Green, husband, Sheldon and their daughters, Teri and Denise of California; Ruby Stewart and children, Marsha, Deanna, Jeff and Mark of Hamilton, Kan.; Pauline Kassik, husband, Roger and their daughters, Lynni and Dawn of Dacoma; Janet Gulick of Eureka, Kan.; great nephews, Scott Gulick and Justin Lewis and great nieces, Lori Jo, Catrina and Connie; as well as other relatives and friends.
Lyda's service is 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016, at First Christian Church in Cleo Springs. Burial is in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, southwest of Aline.
Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home Inc. of Helena. Viewing is 2-6 p.m. today, Dec. 27, 2016, at the funeral home in Helena. www.lanmanmemorials.com
