Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Aline


The funeral for Ruth Myrle Anthony, 88, of Cleo Springs will be 10 AM Thursday at Nazarene Church in Cleo Springs. The Reverends Jim Burggraf and Danny Barnwell will officiate. Burial will be at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery southwest of Atline. Arrangements are by Landman Funeral Home Inc. of Helena. Visitation will be 9:30 AM to 6 PM today at the funeral home.

She was born May 30, 1916, north of Oakdale school to Clarence and Lena Stoffer Hedrick and died Sunday, January 16, 2005, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Enid.

She attended Oakdale school until the eighth grade and graduated from Aline high school. She married Spencer Ernest Anthony August 8, 1936, in Enid. In 1942, they moved east of Cleo Springs and just recently had moved into Cleo Springs.

She was a member of Cleo Springs Nazarene Church where she served as president of the missionary society.

Surviving are her husband, Ernest of Cleo Springs; four children, Verlin Anthony of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Marilyn Anderson of Cleo Springs, Elvin Anthony of Bellevue, Nebraska, and Caroll Gering of Fairbanks, Alaska; 15 grandchildren; and eight great – grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.
