The funeral for Gene Anderson, 77, of Cleo Springs, will be 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, at First Church of the Nazarene, Cleo Springs. Pastors Jim Burggraf and Larry Bradford will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, southwest of Aline. Arrange-ments are by Lanman Funeral Home Inc., Helena. Viewing will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home with the family present from 6-7 p.m.
He was born July 25, 1932, in Satanta, Kan., to Earl and Doris Pearce Anderson and died Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, at his home. He moved from Hugoton, Kan., 25 years ago. He married Marilyn Anthony in Hugoton. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Cleo Springs. He was a carpenter for T.H. Rogers and did maintenance for the Landcrest Apartments, both in Fairview. He was active at Fairview Senior Center.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn, of Cleo Springs; three sons, Randy Anderson, Jerry Anderson and Gary Anderson; two stepsons, Larry Chandler and Bobby Chandler; one stepdaughter, Evelyn Chandler; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant son.
Memorials may be made to the funeral home in his name.
