Funeral services for Marilyn Kinnard will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2018, at the Dacoma Church of God with Rev. Connie Kinnard officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Carmen, under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Marilyn Joan (Dunn) Kinnard, 79, of Alva, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 17, 2018. She was born February 24, 1939, in Denver, Colorado, to Charles and Margaret (VanGerpen) Dunn.
Marilyn grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she met and married Ronald Kinnard on June 14, 1984. They lived in Topeka, Kansas, the last 25 years before moving to Alva this past year. She was a loving mother and homemaker and enjoyed reading, bird watching, collectibles, and was a Avon representative for many years.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Margaret Dunn.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald (Ron), of Alva; one sister, Chaelene Johnston of Sherwood, Oregon; daughter, Laurie Porras and husband, Jesus, of Las Cruces, New Mexico; son, Chuck Carlson and wife, Denise, of Quincy, Illinois; three stepchildren, Ronda Creasong and husband, Johnie, of Selby, Ohio; Rob Kinnard and wife, Judy, of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Carl Kinnard and wife, Susan, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Marilyn enjoyed making new friends and her loving heart and smile will be missed by all who knew her.
