Dale Wayne Allen
The funeral for Dale Wayne Allen, 74, of Dacoma will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of God in Dacoma. The Rev. Glen Edmondson will officiate. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, north of Carmen. Arrange-ments are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Cherokee. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and after the service at the church.
He was born Feb. 9, 1930, on a farm southeast of Dacoma to Raymond and Ruth Newlin Allen and died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004, at his home.
He was raised in Dacoma and graduated from Dacoma High School.
He married Winifred Morse on May 25, 1949, in Cherokee. He was a lifelong farmer in the Dacoma area and drove a school bus for many years. He served as city clerk for Dacoma. He also worked at Vornado Fan and Beech Aircraft. He married Ann Burnidge on March 4, 1988, in Cherokee making their home in Dacoma. He attended Dacoma Church of God and was a member of Dacoma Lions Club.
Surviving are his wife, Ann of Dacoma; four daughters, Rita Lamle of Medford, Debbie Settle of Kingfisher, Tesa Settle of Runaway Bay, Texas, Natalie Page of Gladstone, Australia; one son, John Reynolds of Ponca City; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Memorials may be made to Dacoma Church, with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
