Harvey was born in Enid on September 26, 1947 to Ollie Atterbery and Ruth Allen Atterbery and passed from this life on December 10, 2015 near Jet. Harvey attended grade school and high school in Cherokee. After high school graduation Harvey studied at NWOSU in Alva for two years. In 2001 Harvey married Bobbi Brown in Wildwood Chapel at Great Salt Plains State Park. Currently, Harvey lived at Great Salt Plains Lake in the Nescatunga area. His pastimes include fishing, hunting and boating with friends. His favorite fishing trip was Striper fishing at Lake Texoma. Harvey was co-owner of A and P Independent Oil Company, located north of Cherokee. He then worked for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation as a field clerk out of Cherokee and in Beaver as a supervisor for ODOT.

Survivors include his wife, Bobbi of Nescatunga; two daughters, Kim Bogan and husband, Jeff of Lowell, Arkansas and Pamela Trotter of Ozark, Arkansas and six grandchildren.

His parents preceded Harvey in death.

Memorials may be given to Nescatunga Rural Fire Association through the funeral home.
