MARY E. LOOMIS
The funeral for Mary E. Loomis, 75, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Cherokee First Baptist Church. The Rev. Tom Cooksey will officiate. Burial will be in Keith Cemetery. Arrangements are by Goodwin Funeral Home, Cherokee, OK. Visit-ation will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday with the family present from 4 to 5 p.m.
She was born May 31, 1930, in Newkirk,OK. to Walter and Mabel Lindsay Mincks and died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, Enid, OK.
She graduated from Burlington High School in 1948.
She married Don Loomis Sept. 7, 1948, in Alva, OK. They made their home on a farm southwest of Burlington, OK. She worked with her husband farming and trimming trees. She also upholstered furniture and was a member of Cherokee First Baptist Church and Lois Sunday school class.
Surviving are her husband, Don, of the home, and two daughters, Marilyn and Carolyn Loomis, both of Oklahoma City.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Cherokee First Baptist Church, Cherokee, OK.
