Public graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Keith Cemetery (Alfalfa County) under the direction of Wharton Funeral Chapel. Online condolences may be made at http://www.whartonfuneralchapel.com.

Paul Wayne Welch was born February 23, 1961, to Carl and Eva Welch in Alva, Oklahoma. He passed from this life into God's Glory on December 15, 2021, at his home in Portland, Oregon. He was among friends when his heart stopped.

Paul grew up in Alva, and graduated from Alva High School in 1979.

Growing up Paul enjoyed baseball, fishing and boy scouts. After high school Paul moved to Oregon settling in the Portland area. There he found friends who became family and a job that turned into a lifelong career.

Paul began working in 1985 for Jeff Sweet & Sweet Sound and was employed by Monqui Presents at his passing. Paul was also a member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, (IATSE) Local 28.

He was preceded in death by his still born son, father, Carl Welch, and both sets of grandparents, Arthur and Ruth Welch and Joel and Eva Glenn.

Paul is survived by his mother, Eva Welch, siblings: Vetta (Donny) Woodard, Perkins, Oklahoma, Judy Weaver, Alva, David Welch, Alva, Kelly (Lume) Welch-Poe, Cornelius, Oregon, nephews, cousins; his Oregon family, nieces and nephews and many friends.

All family and friends are welcome at the graveside services.

Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to a Love Fund set up through Wharton Funeral Chapel.
