GOLTRY - The funeral for Henry John Voss, 49, will be 2 PM Friday at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Goltry. John Sellers will officiate. Burial will be in Karoma Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Helena. The casket will be open from 9 AM until 7 PM today at the funeral home and at the church before the service Friday.
He was born March 22, 1951, in Enid to Emerson and Bernice Zrust Voss and died Tuesday, February 6, 2001, at his home near Goltry.
He graduated from Helena – Goltry High School in 1969, then attended Oklahoma State University until 1973.
On December 29, 1973, he married Cathy McCart at Pond Creek.
He had lived in Goltry all his life and was a farmer. He showed Grand Pig at American Royal in Kansas City, and was part of Carrier Young Farmers. He also supported Chisholm FFA and athletic programs.
He attended First Congregational United Church of Christ in Goltry.
Surviving are his wife, Cathy of Goltry; one daughter, Lindsay Anne of Stillwater; one son, John Jacob "Jake" of Goltry; and one brother, Gordon of Goltry.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the church.
