Karoma Cemetery


Funeral services for Inez Cleola Sanders, 88, will be 2 p.m. today, April 7, 2006, at Community Bible Church, Goltry with the Rev. Dale Cummins officiating. Burial will follow in Karoma Cemetery, southeast of Goltry, with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home Inc., Helena. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.lanmanfuneralhomes.com.

Inez Cleola Sanders was born Jan. 4, 1918, south of Goltry to Owen Mahaffey and Lois Talbott Mahaffey and passed from this life on Tuesday, April 4, 2006, in Enid at the Methodist Care Center. She graduated from Goltry High School. Inez married Roy B. Sanders March 7, 1936, in Enid. She loved sewing and gardening.

Inez is survived by four children, Ruby Young of Enid, Vernon Sanders and wife, Twylah Jo of Goltry, Faye Reuss and husband, Homer of Goltry, and Frank Sanders and wife, Kim of Enid; 16 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lowell Mahaffey of Cassville, Mo., Willis Mahaffey of Alamogordo, N.M., and Rex Mahaffey of Thermal, Calif.

Inez was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, on Oct. 28, 1998; two sons, Willis Lee Sanders and Donald Ray Sanders and two brothers, Darrel Mahaffey and Jack Mahaffey.

Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association through the funeral home.
