ENID, OK — The graveside service for Rita Pelfrey, 82, of Enid, Okla., will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Kroma Cemetery. Shane Mckinzie will officiate under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
NOTE: Grave later moved to Enid Cemetery
She was born April 27, 1932, to William and Rita (Vice) Thompson in Jet, Okla., and passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014, in Enid, Okla.
She grew up in Goltry and attended Goltry High School.
She moved to California and lived in several cities, where she lived and worked.
She married Dennis Pelfrey in San Jose, Calif.
She moved to Enid in 1985, to be near family. She worked in the service industry for 35 years.
She was an avid puzzler, bowler and a trophy winning pool player. She enjoyed life to the fullest, was loved by everyone, and had an infectious laugh.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis; sister, Sonja Hyke; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack, Wilbur, Iralee and Walter Thompson; her sisters, Viola Carter, Eleanor Cunningham and Neva Peck.
