DESSIE MAE PAGE
The funeral for Dessie Mae Page, 96, of Jet, OK. will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, 2005, at Lanman Funeral Home Chapel, Cherokee, OK. Burial will be in Karoma Cemetery, south of Goltry, OK. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
She was born Feb. 10, 1909, east of Jet, OK. to Earnest W. and Wavie Thornburgh Page and died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005, at Cherokee Manor, Cherokee, OK.
She grew up in Jet, graduating from Jet High School. She attended Northwestern State Teacher's College and taught school for one year. She moved to Wichita, Kan., during the war and worked at Boeing Aircraft for three years. She returned to Jet, where she lived the rest of her life. She worked at the Jet Drugstore and was a member of Jet Christian Church. She was an Eastern Star and a member of Cro-Ta-Tum Club.
Surviving are one brother, Garold Page of Enid, OK.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers and three sisters.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Share Hospice of Alva, OK.
