ENID — Funeral for Max McSparrin, 80, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at Henninger-Hinson Chapel. Burial in Karoma Cemetery, Goltry.

Max was born Jan. 13, 1930, in Goltry to William and Goldie Turner McSparrin and died Monday, July 12, 2010, in Enid.

Max served in the Navy from 1952 to 1956. He worked 36 years for Hackney Iron and Steel.

He was preceded by his wife, Claudine Carter, and one brother, Donald.

Surviving are four children, Robin Sedbrook, Mark and Mike McSparrin and Kristin Keener; seven grandchildren; one sister, Dortha Immel; and one brother, Rex.

CLAUDINE MCSPARRIN
A private graveside service for Claudine McSparrin, 76-year-old Goltry, OK. resident will be in the Karoma Cemetery with Pastor Norman Cullember officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Allen Funeral Home, Enid, OK.
She was born April 5, 1929, in rural Goltry, OK. to Fred Carter and Beulah "Chadd" Carter and died Tuesday, November 15, 2005, in Integris Bass Baptist Health Center, Enid, OK. She attended school in Goltry. After graduating from Goltry she attended nursing school in Oklahoma City, OK. Her career in nursing included 19 years of service to the Methodist Home and 12 years for Dr. A. W. and Dwayne Janzen in Enid.
On May 25, 1957, she married Max McSparrin. The couple made their home in Goltry. They moved to Enid for several years, returning to Goltry in 1967. She liked gardening and enjoyed cooking.
She is survived by her husband Max, of the home; her four children Robin Sedbrook and husband Matt, of Enid, OK., Mark McSparrin and wife Stephanie of Stillwater,OK., Mike McSparrin and wife Shelley, also of Stillwater, OK. and Kristin McSparrin of Enid, OK. Seven grandchildren, three sisters, two brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society with the funeral home acting as custodians of the fund. (Paid Obit 11-17-05)
