Evalena E. (Buller) Johnson
Funeral services for Evalena E. Johnson, age 92, of Goltry will be Saturday, January 29, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Ladusau-Evans Chapel. Pastor Gary Eastin will officiate. Burial will follow at the Karoma Cemetery, Goltry. Arrangements made by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Born July 3, 1912, in Goltry, OK to Furd and Nina Penner Buller, our devoted and faithful mother and grandmother went to her heavenly home early Tuesday, January 25, 2005. On March 11, 1929 she married Walter Paul Johnson and raised four children in Goltry. Her early years of marriage involved farming and cooking for the many threshing crews of the Helena-Goltry community. She was married for 68 years prior to the passing away of her husband in April, 1997. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and tending her flowers. She received much comfort from playing piano and reading her Bible. She was a faithful and lifetime member of the Zoar Mennonite Church actively involved in the Ladies Aide.
She is survived by her four children, Robert Lee Johnson and wife Dorothy of Enid, Mervin Larry Johnson and wife Martha of Greenwood, IN, Joel Dean Johnson and wife Gloria of Tulsa and Lucinda Sue Harmon and husband John of Tulsa; two sisters Lilly Smith of Enid and Mamie Jean Jantz and husband Paul of Enid; nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers and one sister.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the entire staff at the Methodist Home Inc. of Enid for the love and unending care expressed to their residents.
Memorials may be made t o Zoar Mennonite Church Ladies Aide of Goltry with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the fund.

She died Jan. 25, 2005. She was born July 3, 1912, in Goltry, OK. to Furd and Nina Penner Buller. On March 11, 1929, she married Walter Paul Johnson and lived in Goltry. She cooked for many threshing crews and did gardening. She also played the piano. Her husband died in 1997.
She was a lifelong member of Zoar Mennonite Church and active in the Ladies Aid.
She is survived by three sons, Robert Lee of Enid, OK., Mervin Larry of Greenwood, Ind., and Joel Dean of Tulsa, OK.; daughter, Lucinda Sue Harmon, Tulsa, OK.; two sisters, Lilly Smith and Mamie Jean Jantz, both of Enid, OK.; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Memorials may be made to the church's Ladies Aid of Goltry through the funeral home.
