ILIFF L. HARTMAN
Funeral services for Iliff L. Hartman, age 88, will be today at 10:00 a.m., Thurs., November 17, 2005, at the United Methodist Church in Jet, OK. Rev. Norman Cullumber will officiate. Burial will follow in the Karoma Cemetery in Goltry, OK. under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
He was born November 25, 1916, in Goltry, OK. to Chris and Nellie Malby Hartman and died Monday, November 14, 2005, at the Greenbrier Nursing Home in Enid, OK. He grew up in Goltry and graduated from high school there. He went on to become a barber. In 1939, he and Evelyn Strange were married and in 1947, they moved to Jet where they remained for better than 50 years. He enjoyed golfing and refereeing high school basketball, but mostly fellowship that he shared with his community that was common at the Barber Shop.
He is survived by two sons, Neil and Sid, both of Fort Worth, TX; four grandchildren; a brother, Marvin Hartman of AZ; several nephews, nieces and many friends. (Paid Obit 11-17-05)
