Memorial service for Evelyn June Garcia, 77, Enid resident, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Private family burial will be Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010, in Karoma Cemetery.

Evelyn was born June 16, 1933, on the Sharp farm, Lahoma, the daughter of Emery Abraham Koch and Helen Lavern (Corby) Koch and died Saturday, July 17, 2010.

She worked various accounting and health care aide jobs throughout life but was mainly a devoted mother and homemaker. Evelyn loved to oil paint and design stained glass art. She also spent time teaching her cockatiel, Big Bird, how to talk.

Evelyn is survived by one daughter, Dr. Robelyn Garcia of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one son, Edward Garcia of Abilene, Texas; daughter-in-law, Edra Garcia of Enid; sister-in-law, Barbara Koch of Enid; brother, John Henry Koch of Phoenix; and nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Arvid and George Koch; one sister, Shirley Koch; and two husbands, Roy Edward Williams and Robert Allen Garcia.
