Robert was born to Joe and Dena (Jantz) Buller on Oct. 29, 1927, on a farm south of Goltry and passed away Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015, at Fairview Fellowship Home.

Robert attended grades one through eight at Goltry Public School and graduated from Oklahoma Bible Academy in Meno, Okla., in 1945.

Robert crossed the mighty Cimarron River to win the heart of his mate of 65 years, Mary Ann Bartel of Fairview, Okla., whom he married April 16, 1950. They were blessed with three children, Yvonne, Bobby and Jon.

Robert’s passion, vocation and hobby was farming, and he did it well. Robert farmed his entire life. He remembered working ground with horses at a young age and finished in June, driving a 375 horse powertractor with GPS. He, with his brother Virgil, broke sod in eastern Colorado in 1949. From 1956 to 1964, he lived in Enid, Okla., and worked days at Gold Spot Dairy as a milk route driver and evenings and weekends farming at Goltry. After moving back to Goltry in 1964, he farmed full-time until June of this year. Robert was one of the first in the area to incorporate stocker cattle in his farming operation.

Robert was a strong Christian and loved singing and listening to gospel quartet music. His strong bass voice was heard for many years in the Grace Mennonite Quartet, with Lon Janzen, Shorty Unruh and Richard Froese. He last sang “Just A Little Talk With Jesus” at a family reunion on Aug. 8, 2015. His family will always cherish that moment.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Virgil and Elgin; sisters, Opal, Mildred, Ruby and Tillie; and great-granddaughter, Avery Clutter.

Robert is survived by his wife, Mary Ann of the home; Jeff and Yvonne Greb, Bobby and Cindy Buller, Jon and Charolette Buller; eight grandchildren, Ryan (Monica) Greb, Amy (Brett) Clutter, Mandy (Nate) Hollenbeck, Megan (Dan) Pipes, Lukas (Julianna) Buller, Christy Buller, Leah Buller and Emily (Ben) Campbell; and seven great-grandchildren, Tanner and Tori Greb, Chase and Drew Clutter, and Phoenix, Madelyn and Katelyn Hollenbeck.

Memorials may be made to Zoar Mennonite Church through the funeral home.
