Roger Albertson, 59, died Monday at his home in Muleshoe, Texas. The funeral was 2 PM Wednesday there.
The body will be at Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home from noon Thursday until 1 PM Friday with graveside services to be 2 PM Friday at the Karoma Cemetery in Goltry. Keith Decker, pastor of Zoar Mennonite Church, will officiate.
Albertson was born February 22, 1926, in Clinton and was raised in the Watonga community. He and Joyce Pekrul were married August 26, 1944, in Watonga. She was from Goltry.
Albertson was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Muleshoe and a member of the Rotary Club. He had moved from Lubbock, Texas, to Muleshoe in 1956, where he owned and operated Albertson's Shop for Men.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce; a son, Dr. Gary Albertson, Monahans, Texas; his mother, Mabel Oxley, Madisonville, Texas; a sister, Marion Keener, Klamath Falls, Oregon; a brother, John Oxley, Madisonville, Texas; and three grandchildren.
