November 13, 1925 - February 17, 2022

A Graveside service for Naomi Iva (Pekrul) Lynch, 96, of City of Industry, California, formerly of Enid, will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Karoma Cemetery, Goltry, Oklahoma, under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, March 4th, at the funeral home.

Naomi was born November 13, 1925, in Enid to Edger and Iva (Bymaster) Mongold, and passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022, in California.

She is preceded in death by her two husbands, Virgil Pekrul and Charles Lynch; two sons, Virgil Lee Pekrul, Jr., and Glen Fredrick "Fred" Pekrul; three brothers, Kenneth, Clifford and Hugh Mongold; and daughter, Dorothy (Lynch) Rogers.

She is survived by her sons and daughter, Donald Pekrul of Topeka, Kansas, Nancy (George) Clinton, of Tuttle, Oklahoma, Bill (Emily) Lynch of Norman, Oklahoma; daughter-in-law, Robin Pekrul of Alaska; as well as nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

After graduating from Enid High School, she attended University Hospital Nursing School, where she was an Army Nursing Cadet. She married Virgil Pekrul in 1947. She and Virgil ran a grocery store and meat locker plant in Goltry, Oklahoma, from 1948 to 1962. Virgil and Naomi owned and operated Pekrul Manor Nursing Home from 1963 to 1994. Following the death of her son Fred in 2016, she moved to California to live with her daughter, Nancy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the charity of choice may be made with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
