LOIS EILEENE PETTUS
The funeral service for Lois Eileene Pettus will be Monday February 6, 2006, at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Helena, OK. with Rev. Vera Walton officiating. Burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc, of Helena. Visitation will be today from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.lanmanfuneralhomes.com
Lois Eileene Murray was born on September 13, 1919, to Ray Murray and Mary Matthews Murray in Dacoma, OK. and passed from this life on February 2, 2006, at Great Plains Care Center in Helena. Lois moved from Dacoma when she was a little girl to Helena. She graduated from Helena High School.
Lois married L. W. (Red) Pettus on August 28, 1942, in Enid, OK. After Red served three years in the U.S. Air Force, they owned and operated Pettus Hardware in Helena for thirty years. She was a member of the Helena United Methodist Church, and a member of the Eastern Star.
Those left to cherish Lois’s memory are one son, Larry Ray Pettus and wife, Cheryl of Helena, OK.; three grandsons, Mark Pettus and wife, Michelle of Enid, OK., Todd Pettus and wife, Chelsey of Cleo Springs, OK., Jason Pettus and wife, Tina of Alva, OK.; seven great-grandchildren, Megan, Mayson, Landon, Taylor, Hadley, Kaden and Mattie Pettus.
Preceding Lois in death are her husband, L.W. (Red) Pettus in 1988; her parents and two sisters, Gertrude and Fern.
Memorials may be given to Fairview Circle of Love or the church through the funeral home. (Paid Obit 2-5-1)
