MARY ELLEN MILLER
The funeral for Mary Ellen Miller, 96, of Helena, OK., will be 2 p.m. Friday at Helena Christian Church. The Rev. Bob Paine will officiate. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery, south of Helena. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc., Helena. Visitation is 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
She was born May 20, 1909, in Geffersonville, Ill., to Louis Edward and Elfia Fielding Rutger Billington and died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005, in Helena, OK.
She married Renard Miller Sept. 1, 1926 in Wray, Colo. They moved to Oklahoma in 1939 from Benkelman, Neb., and worked on a farm. They moved to Helena in 1943. He died in July 1998.
She worked for many years at Hoyt Grocery Store and was an Avon representative for 16 years. She was a member of the Christian Church, serving as pianist.
Surviving are one son, Russell of Bartlesville, OK.; two daughters, Helen Spino of Las Vegas, Nev., and Kathryn Sturgeon of Helena, OK.; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Memorials may be made to Helena Christian Church or charity of choice.
