Carmen – The funeral for Edna V. McCray, 65, who died Thursday at her home in Carmen after a lengthy illness, will be at 2 PM Saturday at Carmen First Baptist Church. R. T. Delay will officiate. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery directed by Kenny Lanman Funeral Home, Helena.
She was born December 8, 1923, in Helena and lived most of her life in Carmen where she graduated from high school. She was employed with Carmen Telephone Company as an operator and clerk receptionist for 26 years. She and Carl McCray were married in 1943. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carmen.
Surviving are one son, Warren of Carmen; two brothers, Lloyd Robinson of Cleo Springs and Harold Robinson of Liberal, Kansas; and four sisters, Ernestine Baggett of Haysville, Kansas, Verda Young of Carmen, Dovie Farmer of Buffalo and Gladys Stanton of Dodge City, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by one brother.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the church.
