Lena Pauline (Pehl) Maypole
Helena, OK. -- Graveside service for Lena Pauline Maypole, 93, who died Tuesday at Jan Frances Care Center, Ada, OK., will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Good Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Dennis Fulbright will officiate. Arrangements are by Kenny Lanman Funeral Home.
The casket will be open at the funeral home from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and until 9:30 a.m. Thursday. It will remain closed at the cemetery.
She was born Aug. 3, 1897, near Helena to Gustavis and Lena Obits Pehl and graduated from Connell State School of Agriculture at Helena in 1916. On Sept. 19, 1922, she married George Thomas Maypole in Enid. She was a homemaker and seamstress, and had lived in the Helena area most of her life. She lived the past four years with her daughter in Ada. She belonged to the Order of Eastern Star where she received a 50 year pin.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Kennett (Georgia) Ball of Ada and Mrs. Kenneth (Nadine) Rexroat of Helena; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother, one sister and three half-sisters.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Helena OES or to Helena Christian Church.
