Wilma Ann (Galer) Miller
July 25, 1934 ~ February 23, 2023 (age 88)
Wilma Ann Galer Miller, 88, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on February 23, 2023 in Oklahoma City.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 P.M. immediately followed by the funeral service at Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena on Saturday, March 4, 2023. Wilma was born in Cherokee, Oklahoma to Everett and Madeline Galer on July 25, 1934. She went to high school at Helena High School, graduating in 1952. After high school she married her one true love, Russell Miller. She resided in Helena while Russell was in the Army stationed in Korea. After Korea they moved to Stillwater while Russell earned his degree in engineering. Then they were off to Borger, Texas and finally settling down in Bartlesville, Oklahoma for the next 58 years. She worked part time as a bank teller, a bookkeeper, and part time church secretary, while raising two boys and supporting her husband. She sang, played the piano, and played in the bell choir as a member of First Christian Church of Bartlesville. She also sang for many years as part of the Sweet Adeline Chorus of Tulsa. She enjoyed gardening and canning while living on a country acreage.
Wilma is preceded in death by her husband, Russell Miller of Bartlesville; her father, Everett Galer of Helena; her mother, Madeline Lakey Galer of Helena; her brother, Wayne Galer of Enid, and sister-in-law, Francis Luscombe Galer of Enid.
Wilma is survived her two sons, Gregory Russell Miller and wife, Mary Burton Miller of Mustang and Kerry Alan Miller and wife, Pamela Miller of Tulsa; four grandsons, Jeremy Michael Miller and wife, MacKenna of Chicago, Illinois, Russell Lee Miller and wife, Melissa of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Jonathan Patrick Miller and fiance, Rachel James of Dallas, Texas, and Kristopher Alan Miller and wife, Madison of Madison, Alabama; one granddaughter, Rachel Lauren Miller and her fiance, Joseph Tweddle of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is also survived by two great granddaughters, Clementine Lael Miller of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Yvaine (Evie) Westley Miller of Chicago, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association of Oklahoma through the funeral home.
