Harvey S. Luscombe
Harvey S. Luscombe, 71, 614 S. Arthur, died Sunday afternoon in a local hospital after a long illness.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, in the Henninger - Allen Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. M.F. Ewton officiating. Burial will be in the Good Hope Cemetery at Helena.
The Argonne Legion Post, No. 4, will conduct military rites at thegraveside.
A native of Circleville, Kan., he came to Oklahoma when he was 14-years-old. He lived at Helena before moving to Enid in 1929 and had lived here until hisdeath.
He was married to the former Magdaline Lowry in Cherokee. May 10, 1920.
He was employed at the Pillsbury Mills and retired in 1958 after 25 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, a veteran of World War 1, and a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his widow, Magdaline, of the home; one foster son, Don Gibson, Enid; one foster grandson, Robert Gibson Carter, Del City; two sisters Mrs. C.D. Allard, Holton, Kan.; and Mrs. Myrtle Baxter, Santa Rosa,Calif.
One foster son, Robert C. Gibson, preceded him in death in 1958.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Nelson, Chris Vogt, Otis Brown, John Kennedy,Fred Skeels and Cleo Fisher.
