Funeral service celebrating the life of Max H. Green, 89, of Enid will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Helena First Christian Church. Burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc., of Helena. Max was born October 17, 1932, to Clinton R. Green and Rosa A. Puffinbarger Green in Jet and passed from this life on December 8, 2021, in Enid. Max and his family lived many years in Helena. He followed many of their sports and was a Boy Scout Leader of Troop 352. He worked on many construction projects for Bass and Henson Construction companies. Max loved to farm and raise cattle.
Max is survived by his wife, Jan of Enid; children, Doug Green and wife Glenda of Enid, Kimberly Clay of Kansas City, Missouri, Sheryl Bliss and husband Kim of Bartlesville, Vicki McDonald and husband Shane of Crescent, Mike Lowrey and Karen of North Carolina, Shannon Blevins and Roy of Durant, Todd Lowery and Amy of Boswell; sisters, Pearl Weeks of Iowa, Sue Thrasher and Fred of Missouri; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Rosa Green; sisters, Pauline Grimes, Leota Marquardt, Viola McCall, Cynthia Douglas, and Patsy Pruitt; brothers, Bert Green, Clifford Green, and Ralph Green.
We appreciate the care provided by Rachael, Kasey, and Kiersten of Accentra Home Health Hospice.
Memorials may be given to Helena First Christian Church through the funeral home.
