The funeral service for Yvonna Rae Smith Counts, age 81, will be at 1:00 PM Monday, October 1, 2012, at Central Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery in Helena, with arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
Rae was born to John and Opal (Hubbell) Keiffer of Helena, Oklahoma on December 22, 1930, in Clovis, New Mexico, and passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012, in Fort Worth, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hollis and first grandchild, Jason Cody Smith. Rae grew up in Helena, and graduated from high school there.
She was a long time resident of Enid and a member of Central Assembly of God Church.
Rae was faithful in her service to others and to her Lord, Jesus Christ. She taught Sunday School classes, home Bible study classes, and reached out to her community in many ways, including hosting her church's widow's group. She also served on mission teams to New York City and Guatemala.
Rae is survived by her brother John L. Keiffer of Richardson, Texas: her children, Doyle Smith and wife Debbie of Weatherford, Texas, Gail Smith of Locust Grove, Virginia, and Kenneth Smith of Roanoke, Texas; three grandchildren, Laura Smith of Weatherford, Texas, Jason Smith of Weatherford, Texas, and Christopher Rose and wife Lisa of Chesapeake, Virginia; niece Tami Perchez, and nephew Craig Keiffer. She also had two children adopted in spirit, Mike and Cheryl Burge, and countless others who knew her as a faithful friend.
Memorials may be made to Central Assembly Star Widows.
